Returns Policy
We want you to be happy with every purchase you make from Scrap Metal 23. But we do understand that sometimes things happen! Be it that you selected the wrong size, the wrong style or that you just aren't really happy with the product you received for whatever reason.
You may return all new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund minus a small restocking fee to cover the costs of postage and packaging. The restocking fee on items shipped for FREE will be $3.00 or 5% of the total order whichever is higher. For items where you have chosen a shipping option and paid for that shipping charge the restocking fee will be $1.00. The shipping charge paid is not refundable.
We also know that sometimes you just need to exchange for a different size or style. That is not a problem! We will accomodate and exchange for all new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery. You will only be responsible to cover the postage and packaging costs on the new shipment and any difference, if any, in cost of the new item.
Just like we know you may make an error in ordering we sometimes make an error in shipping though we try our best not to! If you have received an item that is not what you ordered please don't panic! We will handle any problem that arises.
We do ask that our customers retain all original shipping envelopes, boxes and packaging to make the return or exchange process as easy as possible.
If you are due a refund on your return it will be processed within 3 business days of receiving the item back at our location. For an exchange, we will process these request within the same 3 business day period from receipt of the returned item.
If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.
Shipping
We know how annoying it can be to shop online, find a good price for a product and then find out that the shipping charge is much higher than you anticipated! That is why we have made it our policy to ship all our items via USPS first class mail for FREE!!!
Need your product faster than first class can provide? Don't worry, we do offer other paid shipping options so you can choose the speed that is right for you.
We can ship to any address in the USA that is recognized by the USPS. We can also ship to any international address with some restrictions beyond our control.
When you place your order shipping and delivery dates will be estimated for you. Once your item ships a tracking number will be provided so you can check the progress of your package.
